Lighthouse Baptist Church has a great teen department. Our desire is to see the young people come to know the Lord Jesus as Savior; to walk with Him in daily life at home, school, and neighborhood; and to yield their lives to Him in following His will. We have a teen boys Sunday School class that teaches our young men how to be godly men that stand for the truth and right. We also have a vibrant teen girls Sunday school class, teaching them to be young ladies of character and virtue. Wednesday night the teen have Teen Time lead by our Youth Pastor Byrl Murdock, where all the teens hear the sincere milk of the world and learn to grow and make right choices. Our teens have many activities that solidify what they have been taught. Some of our activities include teen rallies with the Central Indiana Youth Rallies where they hear excellent preaching, have some fun, not to mention food and meeting other godly teenagers so they can be iron sharpening iron. We have monthly teen activities with just our teen department such as winter retreats, Christmas parties, sledding trips and sooooo much more! One Sunday night out of the month the teen have an ACTS (After Church To Somewhere), where they enjoy spontaneity, fun and fellowship combined with a mystery adventure. Lighthouse teens are encouraged to serve in some form or ministry (nursery, jr. church helpers, bus, music and singing, etc.) and have a class on soul winning so they can learn to spread the gospel and fulfill the Great Commission. In short our teens are very active and enthusiastic.
