And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. Daniel 12:3
Still Waters Christian Boarding School

The Still Waters Christian Boarding School is one of our outreach ministries. Although we do our best to counsel, instruct, and work with boys in our community, sometimes something more is needed. Pastor Murdock has always seen this need and has had a burden for special homes like these. In 2014, Pastor and Lighthouse Baptist Church were given the opportunity to take responsibility for a children’s home. After much reconstruction, that home became our faith-based Still Waters Christian Boarding School.
Still Waters Christian Boarding School is an affordable, conservative, Christian home that serves as a lifeline for parents whose child is sinking in the raging storm of life. If you are losing your child to rebellion, anger, irresponsibility, apathy, or just plain poor behavior, we can help. We provide young people a safe, peaceful home atmosphere, staffed by trained Biblical counselors and educators, offering your child opportunities to discover, or to recover, his or her proper course in life. Visit Their Site.

Bus Ministry

Our Church bus goes out into the Lafayette area every Sunday to bring in children, adults, and families for the church services. Many of these children are underprivileged, completely unchurched, and would otherwise have no way of knowing that God loves them. Coming to church is the highlight of the week for many of them, and our volunteers look forward to the opportunity to make a difference in a child’s life.
The purpose of the bus ministry at Lighthouse Baptist is two-fold. First, we want to see children bestowed with the Gospel and then trained to serve God with their lives. Jesus Christ had a special place in His heart for children, and we want to honor the Lord by loving children, as well.
Second, we hope to reach their families, as well. Most of these children come from homes where God has no place. Our desire is to see these families saved, baptized, and discipled, so they can stop riding the bus and start driving to church together.
If you, or someone you know, would like a ride to church on one of our buses, please call the church office at 765-471-0300

Visitation

In the four gospels, we learn how Christ spent his life involved in individuals’ lives.
"And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits; And commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no money in their purse: But be shod with sandals; and not put on two coats. And he said unto them, In what place soever ye enter into an house, there abide till ye depart from that place. And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them." Mark 6:7-11
In the book of Acts, we see Christ’s practice played out by the apostles’ “acts,” going house to house to reach lost souls.
"And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house, Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ." Acts 20:20-21
We know there are lost souls who may never be reached if we do not go house to house in our area. Since this was the practice of the Lord Jesus Christ, the apostles, and the Baptist churches since the time of the apostles, we joyfully continue to reach out with the gospel, house to house.

To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.
