Sunday School
Here at Lighthouse Baptist Church, we believe Sunday School is very important. We have divided our age groups to teach age-related, appropriate topics for each group. Our 2’s & 3’s, 4’s & 5’s, and 1st-6th grade classes use the Regular Baptist Press (RBP) Curriculum. The RBP is a great launching pad for our well-trained teachers to share God’s Word on a level the children can understand and relate to. We teach solely from the KJV Bible and try to make every lesson applicable to each student.
Teen Girls
At Lighthouse Baptist Church, we offer the unique opportunity of split classes for boys and girls for both the Junior & Senior High School Classes. Mrs. Beth Mills leverages this opportunity, as she brings the Bible into sharp focus, to remind students that, although society teaches gender equality, God does not. God created us male and female - two different genders. God made the female gender, our girls, as the highest form of Creation. Our girls learn why they are so special not only to God but because of God’s special creation. Therefore, each lesson primarily focuses on a female perspective. We emphasize teaching girls what it means to be ladies from a Biblical point of view, having a personal relationship with Christ, stressing the importance of daily devotions, and knowing/finding God’s will for your life. We also incorporate lessons on hot topics that apply to teen girls today.

Teen Boys
Our Youth Pastor, Bro. Byrl also capitalizes on split classes as he teaches our young men Biblical precepts, instilling a desire to truly know God and have a daily personal relationship with Him. This class covers a wide variety of topics, with the primary focus on teaching and training boys to be young men of character and honor, as well as instilling the traits of manhood from the Bible. He’s always promoting being a man in this world of feminization and that God created man to work. Bro. Byrl goes beyond classroom training into direct experience by including extra activities to teach young men how to succeed in work, to create plausible plans and goals for the future, and to know God’s will for their lives. Bro. Byrl keenly focuses on helping our young men to become great men, to grow into leaders in society and our church. These core teachings include having a heart for Christ, respect for others, love of country, and dedication to Christ. Not to mention, they have a tremendous time while training with their crazy Youth Pastor!

Wisdom Seekers“Every wise woman buildeth her house,” states Proverbs 14:1. The Wisdom Seekers Ladies’ Class strives to seek wisdom from God’s Word to help ladies grow in their daily walk with The Lord, to build relationships with family and friends, and build their homes into havens. The Ladies also devote class time to Scripture memorization and prayer for one another’s burdens. Fellowship with Christian ladies allows us to build friendships and encourage one another as we deal with the challenges life brings. We come together to find the wisdom and help only God can give.
